Daniel
Title: Eternal Dynamism

About Me:
Namaste all,
I consider myself a devotee of God, as well as a mystic. I believe God is both personal and impersonal. I believe the ego is real, because it is an expression of God, and God is real. Whatever is made from something real is also real, very simple.
I believe in the spirit, Buddhists say there is no spirit, who then has been reincarnating and trying to achieve liberation from rebirth? Near-death experiences are evidence for the existence of the soul as well.
I believe in God, because this creation is complex, karma illustrates God's preference towards good. In order to have such a complex creation, there must be a God, a God who can plan things which are complex beyond our ability to comprehend. An orderly creation is the reason why science exists, there is the assumption that things run in a logical way that can be studied. Monotheism is universal, evidence for it has been found in cultures all over the world, the Bible, Quran etc are not the beginning of monotheism, they are just the most recent scriptures.
I believe in karma (cause and effect), and for there to be cause and effect there must have been a First Cause, someone beyond time and space, karma was created by God, but He is beyond that. Even enlightened beings cannot intellectually grasp God in His fullness, that is why they can't find words, because our intellect is just to limited. God's intellect is beyond ours:
My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, ' says the Lord. 'For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 KJV
I believe God has created us from His own consciousness and being. We are part of God, there is functional separation, separation is true, functionally, essentially, we are one.
Since God is a Being, who wishes for us to approach Him as He is, a mystic who hasn't accepted God cannot reach enlightenment. Since God is just, He gives enlightenment to those who sincerely want to meet Him, if you are only an escapist, enlightenment will not dawn upon you, a higher motivation is necessary.
I am very passionate about the unity of religion and mysticism. I have learned that the Prophets who brought God's message had a very universal understanding of God, but people had and still have incorrect understandings of the message. The Bible does speak of reincarnation, and judgment day is a misunderstanding. Due to the existence of karma there is no need for a collective judgment day, besides it would hardly be fair to judge based upon a single lifetime.
I believe God loves us unconditionally, and through a combination of religion and mysticism we achieve unity with God. This is the purpose of life, to have a relationship with God, and this includes all of our relationships, because all is part of God.
With meditation your being attempts to experience your innate unity with God's universality. Through prayer you communicate lovingly with God's personality.
